Anywho, getting back to the point. I wanted to show you that I have photographic proof of some of the crafts that I have tackled. I hope you enjoy the blurry cell phone pictures. Now that I am a serious journalist I will have to start using my camera and plug that USB cord thing into the hole in my computer and download the pictures and then post them. This sounds like a lot of steps but as I said I'm a serious journalist and must put in the effort and dedication...unless I lose interest and move on to something else (but that almost never happens).
First up is Couponing which, as most of my other Flighty Crafter ventures have been, was pretty successful...while I was into it.
This first picture shows the time and effort that it took to actually do this. What you don't see are my kids and the dog running across everything and making it a messier than it looks now. The remaining 3 pictures show all of my awesome steals. That laundry detergent cost me only .99/bottle. The little rectangles you see on the shelf below are the 3-in-1 sheets that have you laundry detergent, fabric softener and dryer sheet all in one -- those too were only .99/ea (normally $8 or $9). Love them!!! I actually got way more stuff than that, now that I'm posting these pictures I am making a mental note to get back into this. No laughing/judging PLEASE!! I hope that mental note holds until the Sunday paper gets here. I'll will keep you updated.
Okay now moving on to bow making. Shout out to my friend Stella for starting me on this one and to YouTube for watering this seed until it got bored and moved on to the next craft. Bow making was enjoyable and fairly inexpensive. Soon thereafter I'm sure Hobby Lobby could have picked me out of a line up -- the crime you ask: Petty Theft from my own wallet. It's shameful but I'm pretty sure that's only a misdemeanor. But enough about that let's get back to the crafts!
Aren't they pretty?? They were easy and fun to make, except for the occasional hot glue gun burns. Battle scars I like to call them. I actually have a friend who make beautiful bows for her daughter so maybe she can get me back into it, you know if it's God's Will.
Dog Treats. Great idea right? Still is and I really should make more since the hubs works in a pet store. I really like pretty things so I decided I would fancy them up by putting icing on them and packaging them in mason jars. Once of his suppliers was impressed and said he would like to hear updates on how sales are going. Sales are great! I'm sold out and they are on backorder. I will make more as soon as I circle back to that craft.
Impressed much?? Thank you, thank you!
So on to the newest Flighty Crafter craft: Crocheting!! I've sold a couple of hats and have several people interested. My business is just taking off, I better start on my resignation letter. At $20 a pop I will be a millionaire (and have full blown arthritis and carpel tunnel) after 50,000 hats. Oh no that's a reality check!! May be moving on to the next craft sooner than I thought. What to do next?? Just kidding this is THE craft. The Matthew McConaughey of crafts. The Mark Wahlberg of crafts. The Simon Cowell...well you get the point. And YES Simon Cowell, I don't know something about those tight shirts. Moving on.
Prepare to be impressed.
Ta da!!! So those are all the pictures I have so far. But more to come I promise. Shameless plug alert!!! If you are interested in me crocheting something for you just let me know. I'm working on a dinosaur and koala hat. Two different hats of course, otherwise that would be one weird combo. But hey for $20 I could make it happen for you. See, I told you it was shameless.
So those are my more recent crafts from The Flighty Crafter. More to come and if you have any suggestions on my next craft let me know. I'm sure I can find a YouTube video.
Well thanks for reading and have a great Friday. Peace Out to my Peeps!!
I'm judging you!
