Blog Living

Hello Everyone. I have been MIA for a while and I apologize. My son started kindergarten and with a husband who works 6 days a week and doesn't get home until the kids go to bed it's been a bit crazy in my house. My daughter starts kindergarten this year. Lord help me!!

As most of you know we are pet owners. It's kind of hard not to be when your husband owns a pet store. We have two dogs, a cat, a snake and a bunny - the last two are kept separate for obvious reasons. Anyway, I've decided it's time to start reorganizing my home and figuring out ways to keep it clean and pretty. Searching on Pinterest I have found many great ideas and decided to start copying some of the ideas I've found through different blogs. The first blog I have found that I am in LOVE with is I Heart Organizing. She is amazing and although it would cost a lot to do a complete makeover in my home all at once, I plan to take it one step at a time.

Step one will be to redo my kids playroom based on ideas from I Heart Organizing.

Since my son has started Kindergarten and my daughter is hot on his heels I'm also thinking of transforming the closet in that room to a working space with a desk.

I know you guys follow my blog for the crochet patterns. Admit it! You only love me for my patterns. But the sooner I get my home life in order the sooner I can get back to crocheting more and creating more patterns for you.

I would like to ask for your assistance though. I have found this blog which I plan to follow, but I would love more suggestions on blogs to consider that could help me on my journey. If you have any ideas or blog suggestions please comment below or post on my Facebook Page

I appreciate it!!

  1. Amber, I have a suggestion for you to organize your yarn - it is what I have done. You know when you buy bedding and it comes in those large transparent zippered bags? Use that. Works like a charm! Keeps out dirt and odors. Also, you can see at a glance what colors you have and it's flexible unlike a tote would be.

    1. Ooh good thinking. It beats the closet organizer I'm using right now.
